Few composers have successfully tackled so many different genres as Antonio Vivaldi, the “red-headed priest”, and left such a vast mark on the history of music. Through his Gloria, performed as it may have been at the Ospedale della Pièta in Venice in Vivaldi's own time, and his Magnificat, Hervé Niquet and his magnificent Concert Spirituel explore Vivaldi's appeal for vocal and sacred music.
