The Festival de La Chaise-Dieu is managed by the Association Festival de La Chaise-Dieu. The funding of this non-profit association (“loi 1901”) derivesfirstlyfromsales of tickets and ancillary products (47%), subsidies (approximately33%), membership fees and private partnerships and sponsorships (20%).
THE SPONSORSHIP SPIRIT
Sponsorship is a philanthropic deedtaking the form of a payment of a donation to an organisation for one or more actions of publicinterest (live performances and festivals benefit from these specific provisions). Financial donations, in kind or in skills are all eligible for sponsorship.
THE BENEFITS OF SPONSORSHIP
When a business makes a donation eligible for sponsorship, it benefits from a tax reduction on the one hand and can also be eligible forcertain quid pro quo benefits on the other.
- Reduction of taxes: 60% tax reduction capped at 0.5% of turnover, with the possibility in the case of exceeding this threshold, of carrying forward the surplus for the following 5 years. Upon receipt of the donation, the recipient organisation will send a tax receipt to the sponsoring company.
- Quid pro quo benefits: quid pro quos provide a benefit to the donor in addition to the tax reduction. Quid pro quo benefits are admitted up to 25% of the donation amount (concert places, programmes, exclusive evenings, etc.).

BEING A FESTIVAL SPONSOR
Foundations, national companies, or more modest SMEs:each can provide support for the Festival to match its projects and its resources. To each, the Festival proposes building a privileged relationship symbolized by the allocation of a title linked to the level of its support per year:
- Member of the Circle of local partners* from €2,000
- Sponsorfrom €15,000
- Major sponsorfrom €35,000
- Keystone sponsor from €75,000

Attentive to its regional economic environment, since February 2011, the Festival has launched the Circle of local partners, aimed at companies located in the départementsin whichthe eventtakes place(Haute-Loire, Puy-de-Dôme mainly, Loire, Rhône...) involved in close sponsorship orpartnership with the Festival. The Circle of local partnershonours these companies during the Festival, but also throughoutthe year.
Apart from sponsorships, partnerships are possible in the form of exchanges. Forthe organisation of the Festival requires significant logistical input, of materials, communications, or human skills, which can be made available by acompany. The Festival, for its part, can offer concert places, organise public relationsevenings, or offer advertising space.
