
In order to enable the Festival spectators to better understand some of the concerts, a short presentation of works and composers will be proposed for those concerts.

The Academy of La Chaise-Dieu is a new association which collaborates with the Festival especially for a Festival session that welcomes young artists and teachers during a few days in La Chaise-Dieu. The 2007 Festival session will be focused once again on the wind instruments, and on related works by Dvorak, Strauss, etc.
From 23th to 26th august :

The church abbey is also famous for its grand organ dating from 1683, especially relevant for 17th and 18th centuries repertoire. During the Festival, each concert given in the church abbey will start with few works and improvisations played on this instrument by young korean students from the music schools of Paris and Lyon, Shin-young Lee (18th-23th august) puis Hynun-Jung Kim (24th-29th august), who will also take part to a public master-class with Thierry Escaich on 22nd august in the abbey church.
Before the Festival, you can also hear this great intrument during three concerts organised by a local association on 9th, 10th et 11th august 2007.

A special workshop is organised by the Festival for the children of La Chaise-Dieu, from 20th to 25th august, that will end up by a short concert on 25th august in the Cziffra hall.
